Nawaloka Premiere Wellness Centre has introduced a ‘Well Woman’ Women’s Day health check-up program to celebrate the elegance of womanhood.
This includes a variety of tests from lab tests to ECG medical history and examinations for a discount price of Rs. 4,500 in addition to a 25% discount on mammograms. This program will proceed until 8 April at any Nawaloka Premiere Wellness Centre.

If women are given the opportunities to enjoy life and to improve on their health then the family as a whole will reap the benefits.
Health is the ultimate profit to every living being without any doubt, within that spectrum, women’s health is a constantly discussed topic with the increasing number of breast cancers and emerging diseases such as genital herpes, arthritis and infertility.
Parallel to World Women’s Day the WHO highlighted that some of the most critical areas for women’s health being cancer, reproductive health, maternal health, HIV, mental health and noncommunicable diseases. Creating awareness and providing necessary medical treatment methods to eradicate the potential threats was mainly highlighted.
Women in Sri Lanka form approximately 57% of a total estimated population of 21 million. Out of the total economically active population of 8.5 million persons, women employee percentage is 33.4% and the rest is either fully involved in domestic care or going through difficult situations being working mothers or Single mothers who battle each day to keep a balanced life yet often fail to do so thus neglect their own issues mostly being health.
As a country that allocates around 3.5% of its GDP each year for the health sector, Sri Lanka is making an effort to reach some level of standard in the health care sector, especially focusing on women’s health care and creating awareness, attending to the medical needs of women throughout the country essentially to fight breast and womb cancers, tumours, venereal diseases, arthritis, malnutrition, maternal health issues and give proper guidance to overcome depression and adapt towards a more healthy lifestyle.
