The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved awarding the procurement contract for Non-Ionic Contrast Media, used in CT and X-ray imaging systems, to Unique Pharmaceuticals Laboratories.
The move follows a competitive bidding process under the Procedure of International Competitive Bidding, during which six bidders submitted proposals.
Unique Pharmaceuticals Laboratories emerged as the lowest bidder with a substantive bid, securing the contract based on the recommendations of the Technical Appraisal Committee and the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The approval aims to enhance the country’s healthcare services by providing essential medical supplies at competitive prices, thereby supporting the effective diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The proposal for this procurement, presented by Health Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
