Akbar Pharmaceuticals wins Gold Award

The prestigious Gold Award for the Best Supplier 2012 at the 16th Suppliers Convention of State Pharmaceuticals Corporation was presented to Akbar Pharmaceuticals. The grand event was held on 22 June 2013 at Cinnamon Bey, Beruwala. This prestigious award is in recognition of the high quality of pharmaceuticals supplied to State Pharmaceuticals Corporation by Akbar Pharmaceuticals sourced from their manufacturing subsidiary unit Lina Manufacturing Ltd., which manufactures high quality respiratory

care products in a dedicated manufacturing R&D facility, and other suppliers. This coveted award also symbolises the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation’s recognition of Akbar Pharmaceuticals’ vision of working towards a healthy nation through providing all Sri Lankans with high quality medicine with affordability. This goal is well served by the dedication towards promptness in delivery of products to the Department of Health Services through which it distributes to the State sector, and also to State Pharmaceuticals Corporation, which on its part supplies it to the private sector. The trophy and the certificate for service excellence were presented by the Director, Medical Technologies and Supplies Dr. Beneragama in the presence of Chairman/Managing Director and General Manager of State Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
