Asiri Hospitals Group launches medical tourism initiative

Asiri Hospitals Group, Sri Lanka, yesterday announced the commencement of its much awaited Medical Tourism initiative with immediate effect. This initiative is consistent with the Group’s growth strategy and country’s Tourism plans.

 Towards this end the Asiri Hospitals Group, largest Sri Lankan hospital operator, a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings Plc has invested US$ 50 million in a new state of the art hospital styled “The Central” in Colombo, Sri Lanka which commenced operations in early 2010.

The Central is the most technologically and infra-structurally advanced private hospital within Sri Lanka.  In addition to The Central, Group’s specialized surgical hospital, Asiri Surgical Hospital PLC (ASH), Colombo, Sri Lanka too will take part in the initiative undertaking some of the surgical procedures offered. ASH is the only specialized private Surgical Hospital within Sri Lanka and is equipped and manned with the best surgical and diagnostic facilities and manpower including the only PET Scanner within the Country.

 The procedures offered to the customers are Cardiology, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery / Laparoscopic procedure, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Eye Surgery and Dental procedures.

The procedures would be carried out by all European & American Trained highly skilled Medical / Surgical Consultants. The pricing offered for the procedure would be most competitive within the region.
