Having reached the pinnacle of popularity and reliability in the country for over 30 years, Asiri Laboratory Services is proud to announce its latest plans to further expand its footprint this year with a new look and upgraded facilities.
Asiri Laboratory Services has conducted the highest number of tests in the country and has an outstanding record for performing state-of-the-art medical examinations and having an excellent relationship with its patrons. It has consistently produced accurate and timely results for its patients which makes it the preferred choice of the medical fraternity. Having catered to over 1.5 million customers in 2015, Asiri Labs realised the need for laboratories in the outskirts of Colombo in order to make access to reliable testing facilities easier, and as a part of this initiative, Asiri Health will expand its footprint with another 25 collection centres island-wide in the near future.

The hospital’s extensive network of sample collection centres have allowed medical professionals across Sri Lanka to have access to the hospital’s world-class laboratory infrastructure, tools and technology that are not available in other laboratory networks. These include bio-chemistry, chemical pathology, haematology, microbiology, histology and immunology tests. Most tests are conducted in its laboratories, ensuring the quick delivery of results while all specialised tests are performed at the laboratories in the hospital.
John further added, “In our journey to achieve excellence at every given point, I am honoured to have a well-trained team that consists of the highest number of qualified medical laboratory technicians in the country who go through extensive internal training programs to ensure the highest quality for our patients. I am also pleased to announce that we have a dedicated research department which seeks to develop new laboratory investigations in order to improve the health and quality of human life.”
Asiri laboratories’ Mobile Laboratory Service is also one of its unique features and is made available to patients and their families at a nominal fee. This service is of great value to many, as it provides a convenient at-your-door service to more than 10,000 patients in Sri Lanka to date. Their home collection service is offered to patients with medical or special needs, whether they’re living at their own residence, a nursing home, retirement home or private hospital.
Asiri Laboratory Services is also one of the first medical labs in Sri Lanka to receive several accreditations including ISO 15189:2012 Accredited, ISO 9001:2008 Certified and ISO 14001:2004 Certified. It is a member of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC), a member of Clinical and Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI) and is registered for SAM (System for Award Management – USA).
