Baurs Healthcare holds annual sales and distributor convention

Baurs Annual Sales and Distributor Convention 2012 was held recently at the Hilton Residences, recognising and honouring the company’s dedicated sales and marketing force as they celebrated a successful year, marked by increase of overall progress.

CEO T.F. Daetwyler and COO L.D. Niyangoda graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.

In his speech, Daetwyler commended the fortitude and commitment of the company and the accessibility of its products country-wide, which would help improve quality healthcare services for those who need most.

He also mentioned Baurs’ commitment in addressing important social, environmental and economic challenges to ensure the health of its business and of the society in which Baurs operates. “The vision is to go beyond the core offering of medicines and vaccines to help make healthcare more accessible to the many that still do not have access to it. Baurs must transform into a stronger, more agile healthcare company that is driven by the unwavering commitment to do the right thing.”

Alternate Director and Healthcare Division Head N. Weerasinghe addressed the gathering by unveiling the theme of ‘Believing in us reach as one’ for 2012 and stated that the success behind his division was team work.

The main feature of the convention was the presentation of awards. Awards were presented in the categories of Star Sales Representative, Best Coordinators, Best Medical Representatives, Best Products and Recognition awards were given for support services. The islandwide distributors were honoured with gratitude and their support was much appreciated.
