Discounts of over 25% on diagnostic packages combined with several other special benefits are to be offered throughout May 2017 in celebration of the Ceylinco Diabetes Centre’s 13th anniversary, which falls on 25 May.
The medical checks for diabetes and associated health complications comprise a series of blood, urine and other tests, physical examinations and an assessment by a doctor, the centre said.
A comprehensive diabetes check-up offered at Rs. 5,000, reflecting a discount of 27.5%, comprises a medical consultation and a complete physical examination and tests such as Body Mass Index (BMI), Visual Acuity, Blood Pressure, Fasting Blood Sugar, HbA1C, Full Blood Count, Lipid Profile, Urine Full Report, Urine for Microalbumin, Serum Creatinine & GFR, ECG, SGPT and a discussion of the reports with a medical officer.
In addition, visitors who obtain the package will receive a free Total Foot Assessment for vascular and neurological complications usually costing Rs. 4,000, a free refraction test for the eyes that is normally priced at Rs. 500, a free dental check-up costing Rs. 750, and a 40% discount on the purchase of a glucometer from the centre.
A second package of tests designed for pre-diabetics offered at Rs. 3,000 in May represents a discount of 20%. This package consists of a medical consultation including a complete physical examination and tests such as Body Mass Index (BMI), Visual Acuity, Blood Pressure, Fasting Blood Sugar, Lipid Profile, HbA1C, Urine Full Report and a discussion of the reports with a medical officer.
Purchasing this second package entitles the visitor to a free refraction test and a free dental consultation.
“Undergoing periodic tests of this nature is strongly advised for middle-aged and elderly people as well as younger people who lead sedentary lives,” said Chief Medical Officer at the Ceylinco Diabetes Centre Dr. Charuky Weerasuriya.
“These tests are designed to enable those at risk to make the necessary lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes or to effectively manage the condition.”
