Browns Hospital Ragama together with the respective Rural Development Societies in Batuwatta, conducted a Wellness Forum for the residents of the said area recently.
Consultant Chest Physician Dr. Janaka Chaminda, the guest speaker at the event, delivered an informative speech, educating the residents on the importance of living a ‘Healthy Lifestyle’.
Free medical clinic for the participants were conducted by the doctors of Browns Hospital who were present throughout the event, which was supported by Browns Hospital nursing staff.
The following medical tests were performed at the clinic; vision tests, urinary and blood sugar tests, blood pressure measuring and BMI assessments. The residents were also offered free consultations with the medical officers present.
The Wellness Forum and the Medical Clinic was well received by the residents of Batuwatta and also grateful of Browns Hospitals’ initiative in providing them with this invaluable opportunity.
