Cambio opens second office to expand service offerings to the Nordic region

Bringing Sri Lanka the latest in e-health systems in the world, Cambio healthcare systems has grown exponentially since its launch, exceeding its planned growth and emergent in employment creation, office locations and revenue.
Opening up its second office in Colombo owing to the encouraging increase in business, Cambio is expectant of more market opportunities and anticipates recording a faster growth in the next few years in comparison to the past eight years.
CEO Dharshana Jayawardena noted that the company experienced two significant events this year, as it opened a new office and exceeded the 200 employees mark in their software engineering team. This shows an 18% growth, a significant challenge to any company depending on the skills and knowledge of employees.
“Especially in a high stress situation where our customers are demanding more; we have to be able to meet their needs successfully. We have increased our workforce to ensure that they have the right skills and knowledge to meet these challenges,” Jayawardena said.
“In 2012 our customers accepted a new product in the healthcare referral area based on our latest technology platform. We also completed several projects that introduced our product on touch screen technologies. Another significant milestone was our recertification in ISO 9001 standard here in Sri Lanka. I’m proud to say that all this was designed by our software team in Sri Lanka,” he commented.
Speaking of the future opportunities that is likely to drive forth further growth Jayawardena stated that the provision of healthcare for the future will require a total patient-centred approach. “Tomorrow’s issues will evolve around increased patient involvement, increased patient empowerment and the improved provision of accessible patient information. Clinical support services will need to be designed to run at maximum efficiency to reduce costs; while guaranteed patient safety will be an absolute requirement.”
