Consumer beneficial MOU signed between Lina and Delmege

The link between respiratory care and Lina Manufacturing Ltd in Sri Lanka is as synonymous as the vital link between oxygen and lungs. It was indeed Lina Manufacturing which made history by becoming the first-ever Sri Lankan pharmaceuticals company to manufacture respiratory care products and also won the Presidential Award for its mix and the Inhaler Device. Accordingly, the epoch-making signing of the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between Lina Manufacturing Ltd and Delmege Forsyth Co. Ltd is perhaps the fulfilling of a historical calling for an international standard respiratory care products manufacturer to linkup with an equally reputed merchandiser of high quality products – the combination of which brings extremely timely and beneficial results to significant numbers of individuals in Sri Lanka who depends on such service for their qualitative living. The signing of this important MOU took place recently at the Akbar Brothers Ltd Boardroom, in the presence of Akbar Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Managing Director Asgi Akbarally, Delmege Forsyth Co. Ltd Chief Executive Officer T. Sayandhan, Lina Director General Manager Rohan Wetthasingha and the Business Development Managers of both companies.

Akbar Pharmaceuticals donates invaluable medical equipment to Ragama Hospital

  Patients and their loved ones relying on quality professional medical treatment from Ragama Hospital’s Operating Theatre and Intensive Care Unit would henceforth feel even more confident of recovering quicker than earlier. The reason is it is now further strengthened with the addition of three modern medical equipment. Accordingly, the respective patients as well as their loved ones will be able to get back to their normal productive lifestyles much more easily and earlier than before.

This benefit has been made possible through an act of kindness and generosity combined with compassionate thoughts towards fellow-citizens by Akbar Pharmaceuticals Ltd belonging to Akbar Brothers Ltd who donated three sets of valuable medical equipment to the Ragama Hospital, to be used in the Operating Theatre and the Surgical Ward. Multi Parameter, Syringe Pump and Suction Unit were the medical equipments thus donated. The Multi Parameter is of immense value in the accurate diagnosis of patients in the Operation Theatre and Intensive Care Unit, as it helps observe the heart rate, pulse rate, respiration etc. The Syringe Pump helps the purpose of delivering relevant drugs on time to patients in the Intensive Care Unit and Operating Theatre, while it also minimises chances for infection and even pain. The Suction Unit is an invaluable equipment in the treatment of post-operative patients in the Operating Theatre and Intensive care Unit, for suctioning of fluids in the lungs etc.
