Fresenius Kabi GmbH with its local partner Malachi Holdings, (a fully owned subsidiary of Markss HLC Ltd.), pledged its support towards enhancing overall awareness of early detection of gynaecological cancers at the Inauguration of Sri Lanka Gynecological Cancer Society and Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Association.
This inauguration was held at Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo recently. It was graced by Prof. M.E. Cruickshank, President of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), Prof. John Tidy (BSc, MD, FRCOG) President-Elect of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), Professor of Gynecological Oncology UK and Dr. Andy Nordin, President elect of the British Gynecological Cancer Society Consultant Gynecologist/Gynecological Oncologist UK.
Fresenius Kabi GMBh is currently the global leader in the treatment and management of critical care especially in the fields of Oncology and Nephrology. They have pledged to support many initiatives undertaken by the Sri Lanka Gynecological Cancer Society and Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Association in the future as a part of their ongoing CSR activity.
Spokesperson for Malachi Holdings states that they were happy to be a part of this worthy cause. Prof. M.E. Cruickshank, President of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology emphasised the need for early detection as there is a significantly higher incidence of cervical cancer.
Dr. Kanishka Karunaratne, the founder/president of Sri Lanka Gynecological Cancer Society and Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Association, while addressing the gathering further highlighted the importance of partnering with Sri Lanka Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Oncology in order to ensure better quality of life.
