The first batch of nurses from Hemas Hospital, Wattala recently attended a two-week residential training program at the Kerala Institute of Medical sciences (KIMS), India as a part of the continuous training programs offered by Hemas Hospital to its nursing professionals.
The nurses underwent training in neonatal intensive care and management with the aim of improving the standards of care at NICU services in Hemas Hospital and also as a part of a knowledge sharing exercise between KIMS and Hemas Hospital.

Hemas Hospitals Chairman Murtaza Esufally said that Hemas Hospital plans to set up its own nurses’ training school in partnership with KIMS this year. “This training school will be set up adhering to international guidelines in order to provide the very best of nursing education to all who will be joining us to pursue a career as a nurse,” he added.
