Hemas Hospitals, the first and only internationally accredited hospital chain in Sri Lanka, recently launched its new website with the aim of increasing its online presence and keeping in line with its promise to take the healthcare delivery to a new platform. The public can access the website via www.hemashospitals.com and www.hemashospitals.lk.
With the new website, Hemas Hospital becomes the only hospital in Sri Lanka to own and operate a completely responsive website making it easily accessible to users on any device. The website provides vital information about the services, specialist consultants, emergency help lines and even health advice on common health issues to the users. It also provides a detailed listing of the Hemas Hospital laboratory network and allows users to search for and get directions to the right location using a Google map. The site is connected to the Group’s sophisticated backend hospital information system with the goal of providing an even more extensive range of value added online services in the near future.
The launch of the new site was scheduled with the opening of Hemas Hospital, Thalawathugoda – the 60-bedded state-of-the-art, multi-specialty hospital opened by President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently.
The new website makes it possible for the users to access all three hospitals – Wattala, Galle and Thalawathugoda – in the Hemas Hospital chain.
Hemas Hospital Chief Operating Officer Panjan Navaratnam described the launch of the website as “yet another effort to improve our accessibility and access to vital health information.”
The website was developed by Saberion, one of the leading web developers in Sri Lanka and Saberion has been working closely with Hemas Hospital since its inception in the year 2008. Hemas Hospitals is a subsidiary of Hemas Holdings, one of Sri Lanka’s leading conglomerates with a focus on five key sectors – FMCG, Healthcare, Transportation, Leisure and Power generation.
