Hemas Hospitals-Thalawathugoda, the third and latest addition to the Hemas Hospital chain, now owns a fully-fledged radiology department with state-of-the-art equipment.
With this facility, customers of Hemas Hospitals-Thalawathugoda can now look forward to obtaining a range of radiology facilities without hassle for a nominal free.
Radiology is the specialty of medicine that deals with diagnosis and treatment of diseases. It uses imaging technology to view inside the body to diagnose abnormalities. This area of medicine is evolving fast due to the rapid development of technology and has contributed immensely to the development of the healthcare industry as a whole.
Hemas Hospitals-Thalawathugoda General Manager Dr. Chamila Ariyananda, sharing her thoughts about the radiology facilities offered by the hospital said: “Our Radiology Department consists of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Also, the team of radiographers attached to the department is highly-trained and experienced to assure a super service to our customers. Though this unit comes with a huge investment, we have no intention of passing the cost to the patient. Instead, we want it to be greatly beneficial to our patients and be recognised for its technology sophistication.”
The Radiology Department attached to Hemas Hospitals-Thalawathugoda is equipped with latest equipment used in the industry including Digital X-ray and MRI machines. Currently, the hospital offers a CT scan, MRI scan, Ultrasound scan (2D and 4D) and Mammogram. The department is manned by highly-trained radiographers working under the close supervision of resident consultant radiologists and provides round- the-clock service to its customers at present.
