Hemas Southern Hospital first to win at the ‘Dakshina Suwa Wiru Abhishekaya 2014’

Hemas Southern Hospital, the proud member of the first internationally accredited hospital chain in Sri Lanka, emerged victorious at the recently concluded ‘Dakshina Suwa Wiru Abhishekaya 2014’ award ceremony organised by the Provincial Director of Health Services Southern Province.

The ‘Dakshina Suwa Wiru Abhishekaya’ award ceremony commenced four years ago to appreciate and encourage healthcare services provided by state hospitals in the Southern Province. It introduced awarding private hospitals for the first time in 2014 and as such Hemas Southern Hospital could mark history by being the first-ever private hospital to win the award by scoring the highest on evaluation parameters, which included general administration, medication management, medical record management, financial process, infection control, safety and quality improvement, customer service and public relations as well as training and development. “Hemas Southern Hospital is one of the most sought-after hospitals in the Southern Province.
