Krimiraja Medical centre of Kiriwaththuduwa

Krimiraja capsules were issued to the open market for the first time in 1949. Dr. Liveris Amaratunga did so with the pure intention of curing people using his knowledge in medical science. This medicine is prescribed for all types of stomach disorders, such as indigestion, worm trouble, puffing of the stomach, vomiting Nausea and loss of appetite as an efficacious medicine. Moreover Dr. Amaratunga who hails from the generation of doctors of Amaratunga of Kiriwaththuduwa has produced medicinal oil for head diseases and windy troubles.

Dr. Amaratunga’s main object is not to make money but to serve the people as a good Samaritan. Medicines produced by this medical centre became popular among people within a short period.

Unfortunately Dr. Liveris Amaratunga passed away in 1960. Thereafter his wife and children took the full responsibility of continuing this service further with the assistance of Dr. T.B Kuruppu , a brother of Mrs. Amaratunga( Nee D.L. Kuruppu) The brothers  and sisters too helped them to continue the endeavour.

Krimiraja institution was converted to a company to expand the services by Dr. Sumanarathna Amaratunga, son of late Liveris Amaratunga, who received a first class pass from Gampaha Wickremaarachchi Ayurveda Medical College.

At present Krimiraja company produces more than 250 kinds of medicines such as capsules, decoctions, “Asawa”, ”Kwatha” , “Srutha”, “Kalka”, “Churna”, and “Awaleha”. More than 100 workers serve in this company. The specialty of these drugs is the high quality and the purity, people have already realised.

In addition, this company has won the certificate “Sheeda 9001& 2008” with the permission to export to foreign countries and making arrangements to get the certificate “Dhaeja”, by uplifting the traditional production of drugs up to a new plan.

Krimiraja medical company which has been acclaimed, locally and internationally for more than 6 (six) decades has been registered in Industrial Development Ministry under No: 1152136 and Department of Ayurveda under Ayu/prod/6/2/1/01/07. It also caters to the needs of Ayurvedic doctors, and serves to protect the health of the people.
