A three-day mega exhibition organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and Ceylon College of Physicians under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine will be held from 14 to 16 July at the BMICH.
The Ceylon College of Physicians is celebrating its 50th Golden Anniversary this year, and is the oldest medical institution in the country, consisting of leading professionals and luminaries of the medical sector.
This educational medical exhibition is expected to be graced by top medical professionals/doctors over 3,000 in number and there will be medical stalls from over 70 specialist organisations, medical faculties and universities from all over Sri Lanka. There will also be live demonstrations, presentations, and advice to the public on healthcare and diseases and the public will get an opportunity to ask any questions on health grounds from the professionals. The exhibition is expected to be graced by over 100,000 visitors daily. This exhibition will be a life time opportunity to meet doctors/medical professionals and get to know the latest facilities and technology available in the healthcare sector in Sri Lanka.
At the medical symposium, renowned medical professionals will speak on non-communicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, stroke, ischemic heart disease, chronic kidney diseases, STD, HIV, dengue fever, etc and the preventive measures that can be taken. At the high tech zone operated by the Dept. of Medical Education Faculty of Medical University of Kelaniya there will be a display on the latest ‘Virtual 3D hologram and technology in Medicine’.
