Nawaloka Metropolis Laboratory inaugurates SL’s first standalone referral laboratory

Nawaloka Metr-opolis Laboratory, a joint venture of Metropolis Health Care, Mumbai, India and Nawaloka Hospitals, PLC has been serving you in Colombo and peripheries of Sri Lanka for the past eight years with the best services. Looking back at their footsteps, Nawaloka Metropolis laboratory has reached major milestones in the field of diagnostics. They have increased their test menu to over 4500 routine and specialised tests, 16 peripheral laboratories in main cities including Norris canal Road, Colombo, Galle, Tangalle, Panadura, Piliyandala, Yakkala, Warakapola, Kandy, Mawanella, Jaffna, Vavuniya, Batticaloa and Trincomalee. They are associated with over 800 channel consultation centres and have started sample collection for Nawaloka Metropolis Laboratory. They have a dedicated team of couriers for the sample collection and report delivery from all their centres. Their priority is the convenience of their customers. The laboratory comes to the doorstep of the customers through their mobile laboratory service. You only have to dial 011 486 4646 and make the appointment for the mobile laboratory sample collection. When the reports are ready for collection they will send a ‘SMS’ to the patient informing the availability of reports. They also have the service of e-mailing the reports to the customers on request. For efficient sample handling and issue of reports the instruments are interfaced along with barcoding system for the samples. The results are checked and authenticated before dispatch either by courier or by e-mail. Nawaloka Metropolis Laboratory provides quality reports with Internal and External quality controls. The laboratory is accredited by SLAB ISO 15189 (Sri Lanka Accreditation Board) with the largest range of investigations. They have inaugurated Sri Lanka’s first standalone referral laboratory with international quality at No.25, Narahenpita Road, Nawala. The laboratory has over 5000 square feet area in three floors. It has a separate floor for phlebotomy (sample taking area) for the comfort of the OPD patients. As soon as the samples are taken at the OPD, they are bar coded in order to minimise the manual errors in reports. Over 4500 specialised and routine lab tests are offered at the Nawala laboratory.
