Nicotine in toothpaste

It is an acceptable fact that nicotine is a major cause for cancer. Its presence in tobacco products is a known fact. It is reported that nicotine is mixed in toothpaste (local and imported). The usage of those types of toothpaste could cause ulcers, kidney ailments, oral cancer, etc.

It is the duty of our Government to check this and either ban the sale of such toothpastes or to instruct displaying proper warning notices on the tubes. There is no excuse for the manufacturer to say that nicotine is mixed at an accepted level and it would cause no harm.

Can suppliers of toothpaste (imported and local) or general analysts clarify this position for the benefit of the public?
