wOw.lk and UNICEF launch new checkout donation ‘For Every Child’

In the latest stage of their ongoing relationship, leading e-commerce retailer wOw.lk has today officially launched ‘For Every Child’, a new feature that enables customers to make donations to UNICEF’s work for children, at checkout.

The newly-introduced feature gives customers the option to add a donation of between Rs. 150 to Rs. 1,500 to their total order amount during checkout. Initially, this option will be available on a selection of bestselling items, with a further roll out to other products in coming months.

Donations made by customers will support UNICEF’s work to help improve the lives of children and communities. Customers who have chosen to make the donation will be provided with a certificate of thanks from UNICEF and wOw.lk, with the purchased product on collection.

The ‘For Every Child’ check out donation is the latest stage in the ongoing relationship between the two parties that saw the opening of Sri Lanka’s first ‘Inspired gift’ virtual gift shop on wOw.lk/UNICEF in November 2018.
