World Mental Health Day was observed on Saturday under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena. The theme of the event was ‘A Balanced Mind to Uplift Sri Lanka’.
The logo of the World Mental Health Day celebrations, a butterfly, was pinned on President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s official residence.
The theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day, observed on 10 October, is ‘Dignity in Mental Health’. Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senaratne was present at the event.
