Another milestone was achieved in its 16 year history by Praguna Management Consultants Ltd., the leading supply chain compliance consultants by facilitating 300 participants for training overseas after the completion of the Praguna Prawardena 10 and four day experiential learning workshop conducted by internationally qualified professional trainer in collaboration with Malaysian joint venture partner Perpetual Knowledge Development Sdn Bhd.
The subject covered was ‘Developing Organisational Creativity & Innovation Quotient’ (OCIQ).
42 delegates from Praguna Client base consisting of Construction/Tea Plantations/Manufacturing/Printing/Mining/Piling Industries/Tea Value Addition and Tea Brokering companies attended this workshop meticulously organised by Praguna Management Consultants Ltd and held from 17-20 September 2014 at Silka May Tower Residencies Hotel Malaysia.
The subject itself was something new to the Sri Lanka delegates; the resource person Rohn Rajen from Human Capital Group Asia Limited Hong Kong, explained how organisations could benefit to stay competitive in their relevant fields by continually coming up with creative innovative ideas mainly from their employees at any level or from an outside source.
He emphasised that cutting cost which most of the companies adopt when they are in a cash flow or production problem must involve more stake holders, when in search of solutions by exploring and unlocking creative ideas. The sessions also included practical exercises/case studies relevant to the subject. Participants in their Feedback claimed that learnings could be applied not only in their workplaces but to their private and social life.
Delegates enjoyed their stay at Silka May Tower Residencies Kuala Lumpur which was very close to most of the shopping malls and recreational places including the famous Twin Towers which was walking distance from the hotel. They were hosted to a sumptuous gala dinner on the first day organised by Praguna Management and a full day tour at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park.
The Group was accompanied by Dhammika Jayasuriya Managing Director Praguna Management Consultants Ltd and ably assisted by Pancho Gooneratne/Chandrakumar as tour coordinators. All travel and tour arrangements were handled by VMS Travels and Tours Ltd. For the year 2015 Praguna Management has already planned for one new destination – Vietnam to expand their services in addition to established joint ventures in Malaysia/India.
