This year 3M organised three programs, namely Volition Integration Professional Designer Program (VIPD), Volition Certified Installer Program (VCI) and ICT leaders program, to educate the ICT industry professionals
on how 3M Volition Enterprise Solutions have evolved over the past 40 years and how to adopt the emerging technology trends in the future. These events created an opportunity for the existing business partners, customers and potential clients, network designers, key decision makers and installers to network with each other.
For the first time, 3M organised the ICT leaders program under the topic ‘Connecting you to the future’. This was a new addition designed for CEOs, CTOs, CIOs and IT directors and heads in both public and private sector organisations, which saw the participation of 50 key opinion leaders.
The VIPD program was especially designed for the network engineers, network architects, system integrators & designers that included 60 participants. 30 field installers participated in the VCI program this year representing several sectors. The training was carried out by experts in the field through presentations and demonstrations. At the end of the training program, 3M certified the Volition Installation Professionals and also 3M Volition Certified Installers too successfully completed the theory, practical and examination sessions.
Speaking about the training program, Gopalan Ramakrishnan, Business Development Manager of APAC Communication Markets Division said: “With the increasing projects in the pipeline in Sri Lanka, we trust that this training will help the installers to develop their skills through new global methods and solutions.”
Gopalan Ramakrishnan emphasised: “3M Volition Certified Installer (VCI) training enables each participant to become a certified installer. This allows each installer to certify projects with 25 year performance warranty on any installation site (conditions apply).”
Attending the event, Derrick Ferdinandus, Sales Manager at 3M Sri Lanka, Electrics & Energy Business Group, stated: “By offering training of this nature and certifying both technical and non-technical participants of Sri Lanka, 3M proves its dedication to support the growth of the ICT industry and its standards.”
