The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) (www.tiikm.com)is an entity that facilitates the purpose of knowledge transfer by constructing the career of the research fraternity, empowering decision making in the cooperate sector and promoting on quality decisions for policy makers through academic conferences.

The 4th World Conference on Women’s Studies 2018 (www.womenstudies.com) which will be held from 3 to 5 May in Colombo under the theme ‘Women’s Studies: Gendered Scholarship, Activism, and Storytelling for a Sustainable Planet’.
‘WCWS 2018’ is a great platform for academics, practitioners, industry experts, policymakers and researchers. The conference is organised by the International Institute of Knowledge Management and is hosted by the Bridgewater State University in collaboration with Nepal Centre for Contemporary & Rikkyo University, Department of Christian Studies as the Academic partner of the Conference.
This year’s conference theme addresses the future of women’s studies, by highlighting the importance of bridging gaps between academia and practice, translating theory into meaningful and sustainable change, and exploring new understandings of persisting grievances, such as violence against women. Moreover, as we consider how to chart pathways forward, we are challenged to consider the ethics of conducting research on women and gender-diverse subjects, sharing other women’s stories, and reflecting on our own positionality throughout this process.
The conference is chaired by Diana J. Fox, PhD Professor and Chairperson Department of Anthropology, Journal of International Women’s Studies, Bridgewater State University, USA, who will represent the Keynote forum with Dr. Jinky Leilanie Lu, Research Professor, National Institute of Health, University of the Philippines Manila, Philippines and Chaymae Samir, Entrepreneur I Columnist, United Kingdom.
The conference will have many areas that will enhance knowledge in the form of networking sessions, workshops, key discussion sessions, a networking dinner with a cultural show and much more.
This will be a valuable occurrence for all the stake holders including academics, practitioners, industry experts, policymakers and researchers in the field of women’s studies. There will be a Q&A session that will engage presenters with the audience of the conference. The significant feature is that the participants not only get the opportunity to listen to the speakers from various countries working on different study during the conference also our participants will get a great opportunity to share their knowledge at the technical sessions.
The participants and the best presenters will be awarded at the awarding ceremony that will take place in the conference closure session as a means of recognising their valuable contribution towards the field of study.
The main objective of the conferences organised by TIIKM is to create a platform that is of significant importance for researchers and practitioners in relation to the respective subject to present their researches and expertise with the view of constructing a future nurtured with useful knowledge leading towards the emergence of solutions to global issues.
