With the aim of promoting value through mutual co-operation for the advancement of their respective members, Rehmanjee Training & Development Centre (RTDC) recently signed an MOU with ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
RTDC, founded by Quaizaar Rehmanjee and Moiz Rehmanjee, focuses on developing and delivering outcome driven executive training programs. The suit of programs offered are designed leveraging on first hand execution experience of the founder members, who have collective corporate experience spanning over 45 years.
The MOU will see ACCA and RTDC working together on specific areas of cooperation. These include development initiatives in competency and skill building and exploring and creating new pathways for members to further enhance their career prospects through the executive training offered by RTDC.
The MOU will also entail carrying out joint engagement and outreach programs to ensure Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and promoting the standards and ethics of the profession.
Quaizaar and Moiz from RTDC added: “ACCA members need an in-depth awareness of the trends shaping the future of finance including knowledge of how to harness technology to become more effective. RTDC’s executive training programs will help broaden their knowledge on such aspects including training in the skills needed to manage future requirements of industry. We believe that we together with ACCA can help bolster the profession by developing the talents of our members to deliver the finance capabilities that the country needs.”
ACCA Sri Lanka Country Head Nilusha Ranasinghe stated: “ACCA is committed to developing the accountancy profession through professional skills development and partnerships with key stakeholders to build capacities. ACCA and RTDC have a great deal in common. We are both ambitious, forward-looking organisations with a clear mission and commitment in raising the standards of the profession in Sri Lanka.”
