BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies have made their mark as two of the great workplaces in Sri Lanka for the second consecutive year with the prestigious Great Place to Work certification for 2020-2021.

Founded on the core values of D.I.C.E which stand for Daring, Drive, Innovation, Integrity, Commitment, Care and Excellence, BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies provide world-class products and services to both well-known local and international clients such as EY, Deloitte, Petronas, Mercedes, Reserve Bank of India, OCBC Banking Group, Bank Negara Malaysia, Central bank of Sri Lanka, Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren, Disney and many other high-profile customers, while continuing to hold their ground as leading innovators in the Sri Lankan IT sector for 14 years since 2006.

The Great Place to Work (GPTW) certification, a prestigious global recognition of workplace cultures, was accorded to BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies after undergoing a rigorous two-lens model of the Trust Index Employee survey and Culture Audit people practice analysis framework by Great Place to Work. Great Place to Work, headquartered in the USA, is the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures.

Through proprietary assessment tools, advisory services, and certification programs, including Best Workplaces lists and workplace reviews, Great Place to Work provides the benchmarks, framework, and expertise needed to create, sustain, and recognise outstanding workplace cultures.

Great Place to Work in Sri Lanka CEO Kshanika Ratnayake stated: “These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace – critical metrics that anyone considering working for or doing business with BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies should take into account as an indicator of high performance.”

It is noteworthy that a commendable increase could be seen in the employee survey score, despite the challenges encountered and audacious decisions taken in the previous year by these organisations. The results of the survey bear witness to the highly employee-friendly and productive culture at BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies., which give a sense of family to their employees than being mere workplaces, enabling employees to face the challenges of the highly versatile IT sector as a team, with both successes and failures shared equally among one’s co-workers. Thus, it is not surprising that the two highest scores in the survey were for the categories of ‘camaraderie’ and ‘pride’.

Also, it cannot be forgotten that the Great Place to Work certification serves as an attestation to the equal opportunities provided by BoardPAC and IronOne, breaking the barriers of ‘previously gender-biased jobs.’ The organisations are headed by a courageous female CEO, and many leading positions are held by female employees. This certification provides a shining example of how BoardPAC and IronOne have allowed their female employees to reach their potential despite the pressures of the male-dominated IT sector in Sri Lanka.

“The Great Place to Work  certification is a major achievement for any company as it is the true feelings of employees towards their work that is evaluated through this globally-recognised survey,” said BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies Co-Founder and CEO Lakmini Wijesundera. “I am proud beyond words of this victory. I wish to acknowledge with gratitude our past and present employees of BoardPAC and also those of the Atrad and US Mobile divisions of IronOne whose contributions have created a positive work culture which has become a hallmark of BoardPAC and IronOne and a legacy for anyone who will be joining us.”

The current global crisis created by the COVID 19 pandemic leading to the ‘work from home’ concept has allowed BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies to test their productivity away from the familiarity of the workplace. Again, BoardPAC and IronOne have prevailed, driven by the courage and optimism of the leadership team and the dedication of the team members, working tirelessly from home, determined to gain a strong foothold in the newly equalised international market where prominence has shifted to virtual environments as opposed to physical encounters.

BoardPAC and IronOne have proved that the company is not defined by or dependent on the newly equipped workplace situated in the heart of the Sri Lankan capital, but that it is the steadfast contribution of and the strong relationship between employees that will keep the organisation running.

Despite the current global challenges which are daunting to many, BoardPAC and IronOne Technologies continue their national endeavour for Sri Lanka, by following unflinchingly, the daring path of becoming the first unicorn in Sri Lanka and one of the top 100 global brands.
