CICRA Campus and Nihal Hettiarachchi & Company forge partnership to enhance audit training for accounting undergraduates

CICRA Campus and Nihal Hettiarachchi & Company (NHCo) have entered into an exciting partnership aimed at fostering practical learning opportunities for undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) degree program. 

This collaboration promises to offer invaluable internships to second and third-year CICRA students, equipping them with hands-on experience and industry insights crucial for their professional development. By combining CICRA Campus’s commitment to academic excellence with NHCo’s expertise in the field, the partnership aims to nurture the next generation of skilled accountants, preparing them for successful careers in the dynamic world of finance and accounting. NHCo is renowned for its distinguished presence in the realm of accounting and auditing services. With a legacy spanning several decades, NHCo has built a reputation for excellence, offering a comprehensive suite of services including audit, taxation, advisory, and consulting. The Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) program at CICRA Campus combines academic rigour with professional accreditation to develop future leaders in the accounting field. This three-year program, culminating in a degree from Asia e University, offers exemptions from nine modules of the ACCA qualification. Graduates can complete the remaining four professional-level modules to obtain ACCA certification. 

With three years of post-qualification work experience, they are recognised as Chartered Accountants by CA Sri Lanka. CICRA Campus has secured internship opportunities for students with leading audit firms including Ernst & Young, BDO, and NHCo, with Ernst & Young recognised as an ACCA Platinum Employer.
