CICRA Campus partners BDO to enhance training for accounting and cyber security students

CICRA Campus has made an impactful stride in enhancing educational opportunities for its students by collaborating with BDO Sri Lanka as a training partner. 

This strategic alliance aims to equip undergraduate students in cyber security and accounting with practical knowledge and skills vital for their future careers. By integrating BDO Sri Lanka’s industry expertise and resources into its curriculum, CICRA Campus ensures that students receive hands-on training that aligns with current industry standards and demands.

As part of this collaboration, accounting students will have the opportunity to join BDO Sri Lanka during their second and third years of study, gaining invaluable practical experience and insights into the accounting profession under the mentorship of industry experts.

Similarly, cyber security students will join BDO Sri Lanka during their third year, immersing themselves in real-world applications of their academic learning and preparing for future challenges in the cyber security landscape. This partnership underscores CICRA Campus’s commitment to providing comprehensive, industry-relevant education that prepares students for successful careers upon graduation.

The Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.) degree at CICRA Campus combines academic rigour with professional accreditation to develop future leaders in the accounting field. This three-year program, culminating in a degree from Asia e University, offers exemptions from nine modules of the ACCA qualification. Graduates can complete the remaining four professional-level modules to obtain ACCA certification. With three years of post-qualification work experience, they are recognised as chartered accountants by CA Sri Lanka. 

CICRA Campus has secured internship opportunities for students with leading audit firms including Ernst & Young, BDO, and Nihal Hettiarachchi and Company, with Ernst & Young recognised as an ACCA Platinum Employer.

The three-year degree program in cyber security offered by Deakin University, Australia, provides students with a comprehensive foundation in the field, covering essential topics such as network security, cryptography, and digital forensics. With a focus on practical skills and industry relevance, students can gain hands-on experience through lab sessions and internships. On the other hand, the honours degree in cyber security from Wrexham University, UK, offers a more specialised and in-depth study of advanced cyber security concepts, including threat intelligence and ethical hacking.
