In Sri Lanka, Chaaminda Kumarasiri was recently recognised for his exceptional advocacy efforts with the ACCA National Advocate of the Year award for 2022. Chaaminda is a well-respected Business Advisor, Senior Management Consultant, and Corporate Trainer with over 20 years of corporate experience. He serves as a Board Director of several companies and has a significant presence in the business community.
Chaaminda has played a key role in advancing the accountancy profession through his advocacy efforts. He has been instrumental in promoting ACCA’s core values, including inclusion, integrity, and innovation, and has inspired the next generation of professionals through his efforts. He has also provided support and guidance to other members, helping them to grow and succeed in their careers.
Commenting on his achievement Chaaminda Kumarasiri said: “I am truly humbled and honoured by this recognition and I consider this as a return on my passion towards impacting lives and businesses. Since the day I left my corporate career, I started to support entrepreneurs and individuals in many ways. The knowledge, exposure and tools I got from ACCA were vital in my work and hence I ensured that I give due recognition and convey my gratitude to ACCA. This award makes me even more obliged to serve the communities and I am determined to do my best in the days to come.”
