Good Life X (GLX), a leading innovation platform driving regenerative transformation across food, agriculture, tourism, creative, and climate impact sectors, has announced the appointment of Vihangun Ariyaratne and Emma DeSilva as members of its Board of Directors and shareholders.
They join current shareholders and board members Arj Wignaraja, Anushka Wijesinha, and Randhula de Silva. Their collective expertise marks an exciting new chapter in the evolution of Good Life X in its 7th year as it continues to foster a regenerative, sustainable economy through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Vihangun Ariyaratne brings a deep understanding of innovation, process engineering, decentralised agriculture and retail development, and community empowerment to Good Life X. As also Founder CEO of Owita Naturals– organic and healthy food company and retail chain, and Mind Engineers, a learning and self-development platform in mental wellbeing space– Vihangun has a reputation for driving scalable growth models and navigating cross-border innovation ecosystems. He also works as an industry consultant and a visiting lecturer in the fields of project management, entrepreneurship, pharmaceutical engineering and mental wellbeing. He was the technical lead and heading innovations for GSK Sri Lanka, a part of the supply chain leadership team and served as a regional mentor for GSK Indian subcontinent for product development process until 2021. Vihangun holds an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, BSc in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Institute of Technology – Sligo, Ireland.
As a Director at Good Life X, Vihangun will contribute strategic insights into innovation models, operational optimisation and scalability and wellness and agriculture sectors, helping GLX further embed impact-driven approaches across its key areas of focus.
Emma DeSilva is a first generation Sri Lankan-American who returned to the country and joined Good Life X in 2021. With a proven track record of working with circular and environmentally conscious initiatives in the United States and Europe, Emma brings in immeasurable value on creating community centric innovation, ecological responsibility, and collective wellbeing. Emma is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability.
In her new role at Good Life X, Emma will offer expertise in international market expansion, collaboration, and strategic partnerships. Her ability to bridge local initiatives with global opportunities aligns seamlessly with GLX’s vision of making Sri Lankan innovations competitive on the global stage.
