For its relentless efforts in creating a truly great place to work and thrive for women, HNBA was recognised among the Top 10 Women Friendly Workplaces in Sri Lanka at Women Friendly Workplaces Awards 2021 organised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Proving the strength and resilience of HNBA and HNBGI women, the HNB Assurance and HNB General Insurance Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Board Secretary Sitari Jayasundara was awarded the Sri Lanka’s Woman Leaders Award at the World Women Leadership Congress and Awards which was held recently.

Speaking on this prestigious recognition Sitari Jayasundara said: “This indeed is an absolute honour and will be a significant milestone in my professional journey. I wish to thank the World Women Leadership Congress and CMO Asia for this esteemed recognition as well as HNB Assurance and HNB General Insurance for creating a winning culture and for providing great opportunities for women to grow and shine.”

HNBA Chief Executive Officer Lasitha Wimalaratne said: “In today’s society the commitment, dedication and hard work of women are often undervalued and underappreciated but in reality, women are the backbone and heartbeat of our economy and society. This recognition is a testament to all the initiatives HNBA has taken to empower our female colleagues and create an exceptional and safe workplace environment for women.”
