In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, there is a growing need for professionals who not only understand clinical care but also possess strong business and management acumen. The integration of business education into the healthcare sector is no longer a luxury but a necessity. From hospital administration to health policy development, financial management, and digital health innovations, healthcare organisations require skilled leaders who can navigate the complexities of this dynamic industry.
With this vision, IIHS is launching its Business School on 8 February, to bridge the gap between healthcare and business. The programs are designed to equip graduates with the necessary leadership, operational, and strategic management skills to excel in business and health administration roles. This initiative also opens doors for individuals in the Gampaha District and the western coastal belt to access high-quality education and career advancement opportunities. By providing master’s-level training in health administration, we empower healthcare professionals to transition into leadership roles, driving efficiency and innovation in the sector.
The launch event will bring together distinguished guests, including University of Colombo MBA Alumni Association President Suraj Radampola, and Swisstek Aluminium Ltd., CEO and Director Dr. Tharindu Athapaththu, IIHS Vice Chancellor Dr. Renuka Jayatissa, Dean/Co-Founder Dr. Nihal De Silva, Chandima Samarasinghe, Upali Rathnayake and many such landmark industry stakeholders.
IIHS invites students, educators, business professionals, and the wider community to be part of this landmark occasion as it embarks on a new journey of academic excellence and professional development.
