Felicitating employees who have contributed and served the company for more than 20 years, INSEE Cement, the country’s leading cement manufacturer held its annual Seniority Awards recently.

The aim of the awards was to celebrate and acknowledge employees for their long years of dedicated service to the Company. As a symbol of appreciation for their dedicated work and longstanding commitment, INSEE Cement presented Gold sovereigns to 61 of its employees. Among the recipients were 46 employees who had completed 20 years of service and 15 employees who completed more than 25 years of dedicated service.

In keeping with the health and safety guidelines due to the pandemic, INSEE Cement organised two separate events where the families of the award winners were able to join the ceremony virtually and witness this meaningful event. 24 employees from the Puttalam Cement Works, 31 employees from Ruhunu Cement Works (RCW) and six employees from the Colombo office were felicitated and received their tokens of appreciations.

Commenting on the occasion, INSEE Cement Chief Executive Officer Gustavo Navarro said “Our employees are highly competent and well experienced. They have led the progress of entire cement industry in Sri Lanka for five decades.

Addressing the gathering, Organisation and Human Resources Director Chandana Wijayanama said, “Our people are of the strength and pride at INSEE.
