NDB partnered with the British Council for the sixth consecutive year to improve the skills of secondary English language teachers of Government schools in Sri Lanka through an enhanced teacher training and delivery method supported by language training.
Speaking on this occasion, NDB Director/CEO Dimantha Seneviratne emphasised the importance of giving back to society and said that NDB as a responsible corporate believed that this sustainable initiative would help the nation’s youth in the long term.
British Council Country Director Gill Caldicott expressed that improving the levels of English in Sri Lanka will help the workforce of the future and therefore the economy of SL in the future and the best way to do that is by supporting teachers of English both to improve their English and also to improve their teaching skills.
