A team of 12 Rotarians from Rotary International District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives are on a Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) visit to Oregon, United States Of America RI District 5100, having departed on 1 October.
Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Assistant Governor Rotarian Marshad Barry from Rotary Club of Colombo North, along with Rtn. Gihan Panditaratne, will be doing a presentation for the members of RI District 5100 of USA on Sri Lanka and its Rotary activities during the tour.
Rtn. Dr.Tissa Seneviratna leads this 12-member team which includes Rotarians Chathurka Wickramasingha, Gihan Panditharatna, Kasun Attanayake, R. Sridharan, Rajaratnam Satheesh, Arunna Daswatta, Sanjaya Wimalawardana, Yogarajah Suthagaran, and Satheesh Krishanthy. At present, Rtn. Adhil Rafeek is the Chairman Rotary Friendship Exchange for Rotary year 2019/20.
This Rotary Friendship Exchange is happening under the guidance and blessings of Rotary Governor for the year 2019/20 Rtn. PHF Karunakaran and with the initiate of PDG Dushan Soyza.
The Rotary Friendship Exchange Program provides a means through which Rotarians in one part of the world could experience life in another country or culture, and their families get the opportunity to host and visit Rotarians around the world. In addition to experiencing other cultures and making lasting friendships, an exchange provides a strong foundation for carrying out other international activities and service projects.
