The PIM Annual Research Conference is scheduled to be held on 23-24 November with the sole purpose on ‘Reflecting on Reality through Research’.

As the nation’s management mentor, at a time that the conventional learnings need to be re-learnt while business decision makers are going back to the drawing board to re-strategise, PIM has organised this unique event which combines sharing of modern research learnings as well as an industry dialogue to discuss how the research findings can be applicable in the corporate world.  Furthermore the National Pitching Research Conference would also take place which is a great opportunity for the researchers to share their newly-created knowledge in a competitive atmosphere while adding value to the audience. This is done in collaboration with the International Pitching Research competition.

The keynote speaker for the event would be Professor Robert Faff an expert in research pitching and Professor of Finance from the Bond University, Australia.

The event will also feature a Doctoral Colloquium, MBA Research presentation sessions as well on the first day followed by an industry dialogue on the second day featuring leading industry personalities sharing their insights on the vitality of research in today's decision making.

Commenting on this momentous occasion, PIM Director Dr. Kelum Gamage stated: “It is a great honour for PIM to be selected as the Sri Lankan entity to conduct this pitching research contest and we are delighted to be engaged in enhancing the research capabilities of the nation.”

PIM has appointed Professor Ajantha Dharmasiri and Dr. Nilakshi Galahitiyawe, two leading personalities in the field of research amongst the Sri Lankan academia, as the co-chairs of this conference.
