A top economist in the Country, Prof. Sirimal Abeyratne, Professor in Economics, Colombo University, will address the 13th presentation of CPM Evening For Managers (EFM) under the topic ‘Foresight for Country’s Economic Revival Strategy and Sound Management’ on 14 February at The Kingsbury Colombo from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

This is one of 12 productive evenings of CPM Evening For Managers (EFM) presentation series which is organised once in two months by CPM Sri Lanka Institute with varied and timely topics relevant to practicing managers with the guidance of CPM Sri Lanka President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala.
Prof. Sirimal intends to share his visionary thoughts and inputs on the economic revival strategy highlighting the importance of sound economic management, a major problem faced by Sri Lanka and other developing countries. He will also deliver his viewpoints about recent economic malaise facing the present Government with increasing debt levels and a political crisis which saw the country’s debt rating being dropped. This presentation is to be followed by a panel discussion with two learned panellists. The panel discussion will be moderated by Samantha Rathnayake as the Session Facilitator, who is a faculty member of PIM, Fellow Member and Governing Council Member of CPM.
Sudash Liyanage, Head of Environmental Science Division, Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Ltd. and Surani Amerasinghe, Head of Human Resources, Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC will join as the panellists of this evening session.
