The Professional Women’s Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Professional Managers (CPM Sri Lanka) recently launched a transformative initiative to provide a career-empowering platform for its members, students, and prospective membership candidates. The “Career Coaching Forum 2023,” was held on 04 August from 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm at Saffron Hall, BMICH. The Institute has invited young professionals from varied backgrounds who are on the threshold of their careers to embark on a transformative journey as esteemed industry leaders and mentors pave the way for their success.
The forum’s impact was amplified by four inspiring speeches delivered by distinguished resource personnel. These speeches not only motivated attendees but also provided valuable insights to guide their professional journeys. The Inspirational Guest speeches were presented by Hela Clothing Chief Information and Process Officer Ruwanthi Fernando, Colombo Legal Partner Attorney-at-Law Kaushalya Hatch, Hatton National Bank PLC Senior Manager/Head of Club Michelle De Silva, and Atlas Axillia Co. Director Operations and Supply Chain Dilmini Weragama. An exciting addition was the launch of the “Mentor Me” program yet another initiative by the CPM Professional Women’s Chapter. This program aims to foster one-on-one mentorship relationships, bridging the experience gap and paving the way for career success.
Highlighting the event’s inclusivity, breakout sessions were tailored to four key sectors: banking, legal, ICT, and engineering. These sessions allowed participants to engage in focused discussions, sharing insights and seeking solutions to industry-specific issues.
As the echoes of inspirational speeches and collaborative discussions continue to resonate, the Career Coaching Forum 2023 is poised to leave a legacy. CPM Sri Lanka’s dedication to nurturing talent and providing a supportive platform for career growth shines brightly through this remarkable event.
