PwC Academy Sri Lanka has joined hands with the Dr. Mikel J Harry Six Sigma Management Institute Asia (SSMI Asia), to create a unique program focused on elevating competencies in Business Process Excellence amongst business professionals in the region.
SSMI is Asia’s No. 1 Organisational Excellence and Lean Six Sigma Training and Consulting company, founded by the principal architect of Six Sigma Dr. Mikel J Harry and his disciple Dumidu Ranaweera in 2016.
PwC Academy Sri Lanka is one of the 35 PwC Academies worldwide, with the number set to grow.
This unique program aims to help professionals who seek to understand the core improvement methodologies, structured problem-solving tools, and automation software to realise their goal of instigating Business Process Excellence in their organisations. Participants stand to benefit extensively by gaining an understanding of the critical elements of a process, determining their interrelations and maturity levels, methods of visualisation to pinpoint potential improvements, methods of undertaking business improvement projects, making sense of data collected and the use of robotic process automation (RPA) tools.
Building off these skills and knowledge, participants would gain the ability to apply it to their organisation’s Business Process Excellence activities immediately, whilst utilising the resources they receive from the program. Upon the successful completion of the certification requirements, participants are awarded the prestigious Certificate in Business Process Excellence (CBPE) credential from PwC and SSMI USA.
SSMI Global Director APAC, Middle East, Africa, Canada and Oceania Dumidu Ranaweera, the program facilitator said: “The absence of a recognised all-round qualification on Business Process Excellence covering the essential competencies on the domain was evident among many professionals involved in process excellence activities in the region. This unique program is designed to fill up this void. The program provides applied and practical understanding on every competency where all participants are required to showcase their understanding of the tools and techniques learnt from the program by putting them into practice by undertaking a mandatory improvement project in their organisation. This also assures ROI for the organisations that nominate the candidates.” PwC Sri Lanka Academy Leader Haresh Perera said: “As part of our new world new skills programs, we are delighted to partner with SSMI to upskill and build high performance corporate teams and entrepreneurs who will directly make an impact to their organisations and clients after they follow the Business Process Excellence program.”
The Certificate in Business Process Excellence will prove beneficial for a range of business professionals, including business leaders, senior managers, managers, and process improvement professionals. To date, over 130 local and international participants from banking, finance, universities, logistics, shared services, outsourcing, telecommunication, and various manufacturing sectors have completed the CPBE program. It has been also endorsed by various industry associations that include ACCA and SLASSCOM.
