Rumil Wickremaratne of St. Sebastian’s College excels at GCE A/L 2017

Rumil Wickremaratne of St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa has obtained exceptional results at the GCE A/L Examination in the Commerce stream (English medium). He has obtained 4As - a rare feat - for General English, Accounting, Business Studies and Economics, and will be selected to Jayewardenepura University Special Academy for Finance Accounting, where only the best 100 in the country are eligible. According to the results, he is ranked no. 20 in the Colombo district and no. 54 islandwide.

At present, he follows the ACCA course at Mercury Institution and expected to finish the first stage by November 2018 and subsequently enter university. Rumil expects to complete ACCA while following the University Degree. He obtained 9As at the G.C.E (O/L) Examination in 2014. Rumil is the son of Rupanath Wickremaratne, a prominent cricketer who captained St. Sebastian’s College in 1983.
