Women In Management (WIM) marking International Women’s Day, will be organising an evening session on 16 March from 3.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. at Galadari Hotel, Colombo under three topics with 10 professional speakers representing a wide segment such as corporate, state, business, social and media. 

WIM Chairperson Dr. Sulochana Segera said, “The objective of the program is to discuss solutions related to many management myths and values which private and government sectors should focus on for the benefit of their brands.”

DIG Bimshani Jasin-arachchi will be speaking on this year’s International Day theme ‘Choose to Challenge’. She will connect to her own journey and will elaborate on how we should convert challenges into opportunities.

The first panel discussion named ‘Passing the Torch’ will be moderated by Daily FT Chief Editor Nisthar Cassim and panellists are Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Ltd. Managing Director Janaythi Dharmasena, Mountain Hawk Express CEO Chamila Bandara and Senior HR Professional Thilanka Jayathilake.

The second session will be moderated by Attorney-at-Law and Freelance Journalist Medha De Alwis on the topic ‘Glass full or half’ and the panellists will be Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana, Dialog Axiata Group Chief Customer Officer Sandra De Zoysa, John Keells Holdings Plc Head of Corporate Communications Kumudu Munasinghe, and The Weekend Online (Daily Mirror) Editor, Head of Social Media Rishini Weeraratne.
