Sri Lanka Savings Bank commemorates International Women’s Day in parallel to 12th anniversary

Savings Bank (NSB) comes forward as a bank that ensures an exclusive safety for the people’s deposits. 

‘Manavi Abhiman’ Ceremony, organised for the first time by Sri Lanka Savings Bank, in commemoration of its 12th anniversary which falls on 10 March and International Women’s Day, which falls on 8 March, was held recently with the initiation of Chairperson Keasila Jayawardena, at the Auditorium of National Museum, Colombo. 

Many distinguished ladies who represent various sectors and a group of lady customers who have achieved success through the credit facilities of Sri Lanka Savings Bank have participated in the event. Further, the Senior Management of National Savings Bank and the officials of Sri Lanka Savings Bank were also present at the occasion. Sri Lanka Savings Bank, which commenced operations on 10 March 2008, as the leading bank in the micro finance sector, has already implemented a special program under the guidance of Chairperson Keasila Jayawardena, to uplift the micro, small and medium scale entrepreneurs and strengthen the rural economy covering the entire island and it is expected to contribute vigorously to strengthen the Government policy of eliminating poverty in the country. The amalgamation of Sri Lanka Savings Bank with National Savings Bank on 11 October 2019 is also a special milestone in the Sri Lankan banking 

sector.
