Success Zante Ltd., a leading training and self-development event organiser specialised in self-mastery programs, together with Teamcoach International, an International Association of Coaching Accredited School which specialises in leadership, training and coaching services, recently introduced their globally recognised Professional Coaching Certification course in Sri Lanka. The program will allow participants to be trained by Internationally certified professional coaches and coaching practitioners, imparting the skills and necessary practical knowledge needed to conduct professional coaching sessions for other professionals.
The two-way collaboration aims to promote a holistic approach to work culture and to bring coaching culture to Sri Lanka instead of focusing only on business and performance, introducing a world-class coaching certificate to the professionals based in Sri Lanka. The collaborative efforts were implemented via a four [04] month workshop which was launched in late April at the JAIC Hilton, Colombo.
Teamcoach International CEO and Founder, Principal Trainer, Facilitator and Coach Dr Shan Moorthi stated, “Coaching is an essential tool for effective leadership in the 21st century. The approach to leadership needs to be different in the context of the current world with its many advances, easy access to information, and high-tech innovations. Effective leadership not only achieves targets and goals but is also able to strengthen human-to-human connections. Clarity, overcoming self-limiting beliefs, increase in confidence, increase in self-efficacy, becoming more innovative and creative are just some of the benefits of coaching.”
Describing the bigger benefits of coaching, Success Zante CEO Shuvo Hridayesh commented, “Coaching is a need of the hour in Sri Lanka. It can transform people’s lives through the transformation of their mindset. This in turn, helps the community and ultimately the country at large”.
Concluding, Dr. Moorthi noted, “I am a believer that every individual has a lot of potential regardless of what their qualification or experience may be. Coaching allows that potential to be unleashed and help individuals overcome self-destructive belief systems.”
Additional plans are underway to introduce coaching on a national level as a necessary part of education to encourage youth and communities through the establishment of the Sri Lanka Chapter of the International Association of Coaching.
