Thurstan College 75th Founder’s Day Oration on 11 January

Thurstan College Old Boys’ Union together with Principal, the staff and students have organised its 75th Founder’s Day Oration to be held on 11 January at the Thurstan College main hall at 8 a.m. under the patronage of Secretary to Ministry of Higher Education, Education and Vocational Education Nalaka Kaluwewa. This year Thurstan Founder’s Day Oration will be delivered by distinguished Old Thurstanite and former Deputy Surveyor General Sarath Jayathilake.

In parallel to the Founder’s Day Oration, a series of other activities have also been organised as the 75th anniversary of Thurstan College falls on the same day. These activities include issuance of a commemorative stamp by the Postal Department and felicitation of Old Thurstanites who have excelled in their respective fields and the ceremonial launch of Thurstan History Book authored by Commodore (Rtd.) Dr. Lanka Prasada.
