In line with its notable objective of nurturing and empowering a generation of future corporate leaders, Unilever Sri Lanka recently signed an MoU with the Marketing Department of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The newly formed synergy will reaffirm Unilever’s commitment to developing a repertoire of skills and competencies among undergraduates across Sri Lanka, and support them to achieve success within a highly competitive corporate world.
Sharing her views on the significance of the occasion, Unilever Sri Lanka Director Human Resources and Corporate Relations Shaweta Pandey noted, “We at Unilever Sri Lanka are strongly committed towards nurturing young talent. Through our partnership with the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, we aim to provide a conducive environment which can support young go-getters to pursue their life goals with a strong resolve and confidence. Through the exposure to industry’s best practices and innovation, they will not only enjoy an early start but also will be career-ready by the time they graduate. We believe that the talent, skills and essential competencies garnered throughout the program will no doubt help them to successfully thrive in the corporate world.”
Expressing his views on the newly formed synergy, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Vice Chancellor Prof. Sampath Amaratunge stated, “We are truly elated to partner with the country’s largest FMCG company: Unilever Sri Lanka.
