With this sough-after recognition, Vidullanka PLC became the first of its kind to be bestowed and certified as a ‘Great Workplace’

Vidullanka PLC takes great pride in being a driving force in the nation’s power and energy sector. For the past two and a half decades the company has placed itself as a premier renewable energy developer whilst being a ‘change agent’ in the Power and Energy Sector in Sri Lanka. Over the last two decades the Company’s capacity has steadily grown and is presently at 37MW with a total energy supply exceeding 140GWh annually to the national grids. Leveraging on this success, the company also raised additional capital Rs. 253mn by way of a rights issue of non-voting shares to invest in the development of solar power projects. Whilst Monaragala Solar power project undertaken by the subsidiary Orik Corporation (Pvt) Ltd set to add an additional one megawatt of capacity to the group’s generation capacity, the company is in the process of finalizing the installation of three more rooftop solar power plants, which would add further one megawatt of generation capacity to the company’s generation portfolio. The group also has two more power plants in progress, namely Horana Solar Power Plant with 2MW capacity developed through a wholly owned subsidiary and Vavunathivu Solar Power Plant with 10MW installed capacity, jointly developed with Windforce PLC & Hi Energy Services (Pvt) Limited.
