On 15 October, a comprehensive Basic First Aid Awareness Program for chauffeur guides was conducted at the office premises of Heritage Expediciones by Empress International Ltd. Director/Instructor Thilan Weerasinghe.

The training session provided participants with vital emergency response skills. The program focused on recognising life-threatening conditions and activating Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) promptly. Attendees were trained to perform primary assessments of casualties, administer CPR, and apply recovery techniques to stabilise individuals.

Key topics included airway management to ensure proper breathing, bleeding control, and initial fracture care. Additional discussions provided practical insights into managing diverse emergency scenarios, and the session ended with an interactive Q&A to address participants’ queries.

All participants successfully completed the training and were awarded certificates, acknowledging their preparedness to respond confidently and effectively in emergencies.
