Youth unemployment rate in Sri Lanka increases to 20%

The younger generation plays a vital role in society. The personal traits and the characteristics of generation Y, or the millennials, are very different compared to generation X, who were born in the 60s and 70s. These days, the biggest issue that affects the younger generation in Sri Lanka is the high growth of the unemployment rate.

The youth unemployment rate in Sri Lanka increased from 18.5% to 20% in the year 2017.Despite the fact that millennials are quite capable and enthusiastic, some are still misguided when it comes to finding the most suitable job.
