Academy for Administrative Professionals, the leader in training and skills development, has planned a series of events during March, April and May to felicitate its 10 years of commendable services.
The first move is a seminar workshop to be held on 20 March at Galadari Hotel titled ‘Transitioning to Management,’ carefully designed for managers, executives, office managers and personal assistants to face the demands of the current trends, enabling both employer and employee to be beneficial.
Deshabandu Tilak De Zoyza, corporate leader and Academic Advisor of AAP, will grace this occasion as the Special Guest, whilst NDB Chairman Sunil Wijesinha will be the Keynote Speaker.
The eminent panel of resources will comprise National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) Senior Consultant Pavithra Wickramasuriya, Commercial Bank DGM HR Isuru Thilakawardena and University of Peradeniya Staff Training Centre former Director Dr. Chalinda Bandara. They will discuss organisational behaviour, talent management, change leadership and communication and scalable competency respectively.
The graduation of AAP Diploma students of 2014 will also take place at this occasion.
“You need innovative solutions to realise visions. AAP has been enabling the transfer of knowledge to achieve this goal. In 2005, the original idea was very simple. By establishing AAP, we embarked on a journey of creating a knowledge platform and Information hub to guarantee competitive advantages. This idea has been a complete success. During the decade the academy has become a place of learning, practical application and knowledge transfer. It is the place for all administrative professionals to network and to establish professional forums. Unity amongst the fraternity is unfound in any other place, which is the secret of exceptionality of AAP. Now we are always connected and undetachable from the world of professionals. As such AAP stands high especially in the field of secretarial and administration by monopolising in the workplaces as most of the employers prefer AAP qualified professionals as their employees,” said AAP Executive Director Sunethra Jayaratne Nugawela.
A tree planting program has also been planned on 27 April to commemorate the AAP 10th anniversary and on 1 May the AAP Diamond Ball will take place with guests attending from various parts of the world. For overseas delegates a six-night Sri Lanka tour has been designed especially to educate on Sri Lanka and to promote tourism in Sri Lanka.
Galadari Hotel and SANASA Development Bank will be the Gold Sponsors for the seminar/workshop.
