Academy for Administrative Professionals takes wings on SriLankan to Magampura

Academy for Administrative Professionals, in celebrating its consecutive 10th Residential Seminar, at Peacock Beach Hotel, Hambantota, from 17 to 19 October will fly via SriLankan Airlines from BIA to Mattala.
The organisers have planned an exciting program highlighting knowledge enhancement, skills development, and self upliftment. In addition AAP, always take efforts to educate fellow administrative professionals of various parts of Sri Lanka and its treasures by organising a city tour which is a regular feature of AAP Residential seminar. As usual AAP was unable to open the seminar to public, as the targeted participants were registered even before the closing date.
Brand Transition – Sustainable Success is the theme for the seminar/workshop. Dr. W.A.M. Gunasekera is the Chief Guest whilst Dr. Chalinda Beneragama, Director Staff Development Centre of Peradeniya University is the Keynote Speaker. Dr. Mahesha Kapurbandara, Dean SLIIT, Dulani Guruge, Managing Director Peacock Beach Hotel, Angeli Andrado and Andrew Bultjens are the Resource Persons.
The subjects chosen are Enthusiasm and Drive, Credibility and Existence, Empowerment and Enrichment, Better Ways to Better Deals (Negotiations), Social Media for Savvy Aps, Communication and Relational Skills, XL Reporting Best Practices and Tools and Techniques. Workshops on Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery and Free Mind, Relaxed Body are outbound trainings planned.

This two nights/three day workshop is full of innovative concepts. Every event would give an opportunity for the participants to learn on social etiquette, event management, public speaking, designing and presentation learning experiences.
AAP, during this seminar will join hands with the United Nations Information Centre to commemorate the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, which falls on 17 October. Prof. Carlo Fonseka, Dr. Ranjith Cabral, Dr. Chalinda Beneragama and Sunethra Nugawla will address the people of Hambantota area on different subjects at the ceremony organised by UNIC.
In addition AAP will take pleasure in providing a specialist in culinary enabling the women in the area to give training on preparation of home food products for self employment. AAP, keeping to its policy of education, will donate exercise books and stationery for the children in the area.
In a press release, Sunethra Nugawela, Executive Director of AAP said that the 10th Residential seminar is unique in every way, from transport, food, program, entertainment and even the presentations. Nirmala Wijesuriya, Team Leader together with her team has lined up a series of entertainment and a galore of prizes and surprises awaits the participants. “We leave the rest of the program to be evaluated by the participants,” she said.
